1-2:15 PM--Building Customer Loyalty – A Critical Component of Your Continued Success with speaker Becka Johnson Kibby

Description: The key to a profitable and growing business is a steady customer base.  Research has proven that most retail specialty stores see 80 percent of their profits come from 20 percent of their customers. But too many retailers neglect this loyal customer base in the pursuit of new customers. Given the high cost of new customer acquisition, a defined and consistent focus on current customers will lead to higher levels of customer loyalty and a much bigger financial gain for the store.

Topics covered in this seminar include:

●    Understanding who your loyal customers really are
●    Best practices for high standards of customer care
●    How to turn complacent customers into loyal customers
●    The role of technology in building customer loyalty
●    The impact of staff training on customer loyalty
●    How to use data to increase customer loyalty

The seminar will also include case studies and detailed information about how retail jewelers across the nation have focused their efforts on building customer loyalty and received tremendous results.

3:00-4:30 PM-- Oil and Water – Can Bench Jewelers and Sales Associates Get
Along?...speaker Tom Weishaar

Description: From the day the first jewelry store opened, bench jewelers and sales associates seemed to be at odds with each other.  This situation still exists today in many retail jewelry stores.  Bench jewelers just want to be left alone so they can focus on their craft, while sales associates keep interrupting with questions as they attempt to get the answers to meet their customers’ needs.  Can they both get what they want?  “Oil and Water”, looks at this age-old question and offers practical solutions on how to improve the lines of communications between bench jewelers and sales associates leading to increased productivity and profitability for your store’s service department.
